Cannot select the "Edit with Microsoft Office FrontPage" icon

1. General

In FrontPage, you have an icon "Edit with Microsoft Office FrontPage".

Normally, you can browse to the website you want to edit and click this icon to open the page in FrontPage. However, sometimes the icon is greyed out and cannot be selected. Follow the steps below to resolve this issue.

2. Procedure

Clear all temporary files

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Go to Tools > Internet Options.
3. On the 'General' tab, click the button 'Delete Files'.
   
   
    
4. Check the checkbox near "Delete all offline content" and click 'OK'.
   
   
    
5. Close all open Internet Explorer windows .

Update your Favorites (only appropriate for student website)

If you have Favorites pointing to the Student web server, you need to update them.

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Right-click the Favorite pointing to the student web server and choose 'Properties'.
3. In the URL field, adjust the begin of your link:
   replace http:// with https://    (add an s after the p)
4. Click 'OK'.

When browsing to the page you want to edit, you can now select the icon to edit your page.
